PCE Certificate

The EU imperative is one of freedom of professional mobility across Europe.

In accordance with the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP), the 1990 Strasbourg Declaration on Psychotherapy, the World Health Organisation (WHO) of the United Nations and the non-discrimination act of the European Union, the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and the European Association for Counselling (EAP), PCE Europe has taken the initiative to develop a professional PCE Certificate.

The PCE Certificate is designed to lend professional recognition to those who have trained or are trainers/training organisations in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling when migrating to other European countries. It is also designed with the added intention of disseminating the approach in accordance with the statutes of the organisation.

Complexity of statutory regulation in various countries, as well as the legal differentiation of titles in some of those countries, requires Certificates which simultaneously reflect that diversity and the inclusive philosophy of the approach.

PCE Europe offers different categories of certification for individuals and training institutes who are members of organisations within PCE Europe and/or training institutes:
